Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I am so proud to have helped lead the fight that resulted in the Assembly's historic vote to pass the Green Light Bill- also known as the Driver's Licenses and Privacy Act (A-3675B). Over the last couple of months, I worked closely with the main sponsors of this legislation, Senator Sepulveda and Assembly Member Crespo, as well as the Green Light Coalition and its members, to ensure that New Yorkers understand the benefits of passing this bill:
- Our state stands to gain more than $50 million in yearly revenue from fees and taxes.
- We will have safer streets and a sounder community because more drivers will be tested, registered, and insured.
- We can help undocumented families live with dignity.
